Pro Anorexia Inquiry

BioI am a 19 year old, female, university student currently doing a research/ inquiry paper on the affects of the internet on eating disorders.
On viewing some live journal posts I realised it is much easier to find "pro anorexia" and "anorexic support groups" than what I first imagined.
The internet is the main source of information for today’s youth, which bring me to the question; does anyone think that these sites should be taken down? Do these sites encourage and entice youth into slipping into deadly habits? Or are they merely an emphasis on what already exists? By being a support site, would one assume that they support recovery, or encourage eating disorders?
I am embarking on this research with a completely unbiased and inquisitive mind. I appreciate any comments or feedback viewers/ supporters of these sites have for me.
